Otto Hutt Design C Fountain Pen (Limited Edition)
Mark Braun, globally renowned as an unusual product designer, draws inspiration from the progressive design concepts of the Bauhaus movement. The common elements in his and Otto Hutt抯 design philosophies laid the foundation for a very special collaboration on the occasion of the company抯 100th anniversary. This resulted in a timeless writing instrument designC.

Limited to 500 pieces, worldwide, designC combines a familiar language, which can be found in many Otto Hutt writing instruments, with pioneering influences. It interprets the philosophy of the Bauhaus in a form-focused and timeless way in a lateral thinking way.

The pen is made of precious 925 sterling silver, immaculately finished. The index in 18-carat gold on the barrel and cap replaces the 揷lassic clip. The nib is made of 18 carat gold.

The pen features a Pull+Twist filling mechanism innovation as modernly interpreted homage to craftsmanship. A slow pulling brings the Pull+Twist mechanism into the filling position. Turning it clockwise creates a vacuum inside the fountain pen. The designC absorbs ink through it as a world first, this complex mechanism is entirely consistent with the character of Otto Hutt抯 100th anniversary.

The pen comes with a leather pen case and ink bottle.

About Otto Hutt
Ever since the 18th century, jewelry, watches and articles of daily use, mainly in gold and silver, have been produced in Pforzheim, known locally as the gateway to the Black Forest, both in small manufacturing companies and also on an industrial scale. The city has rightly been awarded the accolade "Gold City". Today about 80% of all jewelry exported from Germany still comes from Pforzheim. And this is where in 1920 a man established a company specializing in pocket utensils and fine writing instruments in silver, his name was Otto Hutt.
Very much a child of his times, he was influenced by the design concept of the Bauhaus. The predominance of simple forms given over entirely to functionality were characteristic of his designs.

All Otto Hutt writing instruments are made entirely in Germany and combine meticulous craftsmanship with fine detail. The result is a range of high-quality utensils which can proudly bear the seal "Made in Germany".
